Bark Park Grand Opening: Saturday, June 1st  9:00 a.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 a.m. Festivities to include: dog-friendly vendors, activities, food and more! Bedford’s new Bark Park is located at 3200 Meadow Park Drive.

Thursday, June 13 and June 20: Moonlight Concert Series 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Old Bedford School
2400 School Lane (on the south lawn) featuring the Kildares and Vocal Trash.

Angels in the Outfield, Saturday, June 15, 8:30 p.m.    Bear Creek Amphitheater: 1951 Bear Creek Pkwy Admission is at least one can of food. Refreshments can be purchased.  Movies in the Park benefits our local food pantry.

Hole In One Father’s Day, Sunday June 16   Texas Star Golf Course 1400 Texas Star Parkway Dad can play a round after 11 a.m. for $35 or after 2 p.m. for $25. He also receives a 30% discount on all clothing in the pro shop.  Call for Tee times.

June's Recipe of the Month!

Whether you’re celebrating a grad or a dad this month, this recipe is sure to be a hit!

Cherry Crunch

 Ingredients:

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup butter

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling

Directions:

1.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C.)

In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3.

Sprinkle one half of crumb mixture in the bottom of a 9 inch square baking dish. Cover with cherry pie filling. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over pie filling.

4.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm.
